  • Can I build the designs by myself?
Yes, it is possible to build furniture by yourself by following our DIY guides. All guides provide step-by-step instructions for building various types of furniture, and they include detailed drawings and materials lists, making it easy for even a beginner to follow along. However, depending on the complexity of the furniture design and your own skill level, it may require certain tools and equipment, as well as a certain level of knowledge about carpentry and woodworking. Additionally, you should be prepared to invest time and effort in the project, as building furniture can be a challenging task. It is always recommended to start with simpler projects and work your way up to more complex designs.
  • What difficulty level should I choose?
The difficulty level you choose for your DIY furniture project should depend on your experience level and the tools and equipment you have available. Here are a few things to consider when choosing a project: - Experience level: If you are new to woodworking and have little experience, it's best to start with simpler projects that don't require many specialised tools. As you gain experience, you can move on to more complex designs. - Tools and equipment: Some projects require specialised tools and equipment that may not be readily available, or that you may not own. Be sure to check the materials list and make sure you have everything you need before starting a project. - Time commitment: Some projects can be completed in a weekend, while others may take several weeks depending on your time. Be realistic about the amount of time you have available before starting a project. - Difficulty level: Always check the difficulty level of the project before starting, some may be labeled as beginner, intermediate or advanced. Choose the one that matches your experience level. It's always a good idea to start with a simple project and work your way up to more complex designs. This will help you develop your skills and confidence, and ensure that you enjoy the process.

  • I'm stuck. What do I do?
If you're stuck in a DIY project, there are a few things you can do to get back on track: - Review the instructions: Sometimes, re-reading the instructions or looking at the diagrams can help you spot an error or understand a step that you may have missed. - Ask for help: If you're still having trouble, don't be afraid to ask for help. You can reach out to us, or post a question on our forum or social media group. - Check for errors: Make sure you have all the right tools and materials, and that you've measured and cut everything correctly. Double-check to make sure you haven't made any mistakes. - Take a break: Sometimes, stepping away from a project for a little while can help clear your mind and allow you to approach the problem with fresh eyes. - Adapt the project: If you find that you're not able to complete a certain step as described in the guide, try to find a creative solution to adapt the project to your skill level and tools. Remember that building and creating something by yourself can be challenging and it is normal to have some difficulties during the process. Be patient and persistent, and don't give up on your project. With a little bit of effort and determination, you can overcome any obstacle and complete your project successfully.
  • What do I get when I purchase a guide?
When you purchase a DIY guide, you will receive a document (PDF) that contains step-by-step instructions for building a specific item or completing a certain project. All guides also include instructions, illustrations, and photographs to help you understand the instructions. The guides always include a list of materials and tools needed for the project, easy step-by-step guides, interior guides, and online support. Some guides also come with videos. • What type of wood should I use?
The type of wood you use for a DIY project will depend on the specific project and the look you want to achieve. Here are a few things to consider when choosing wood for a project: Hardwoods vs. softwoods: Hardwoods, such as oak, maple, and cherry, are denser and stronger than softwoods, such as pine and cedar. Hardwoods are typically more durable and resistant to wear and tear, but they can also be more expensive. Softwoods are less expensive and easier to work with, but they are not as durable. Grain pattern: Different woods have different grain patterns, which can affect the final appearance of your project. Some woods, such as oak and ash, have a strong, visible grain pattern, while others, such as maple and birch, have a finer, less visible grain pattern. Color: The color of the wood can also affect the final appearance of your project. Some woods, such as pine and cedar, have a light, natural color, while others, such as mahogany and cherry, have a darker, reddish color. Durability: Consider the purpose and use of the project, certain woods have higher resistance to certain types of decay and insects, for example cedar has a natural resistance to rot. Availability and cost: Some woods are more commonly available and less expensive than others. If you're working on a budget, you may want to consider using a less expensive wood. It's always a good idea to do some research and to experiment with different types of wood to see which one you prefer. You can also ask for advice at a local lumber yard or home improvement store.
